Staff: Our Senior Investigators
Paul Hocking has 24 years' experience as a Licensed Inquiry Agent in South Australia, Northern Territory, West Australia and Queensland, conducting all facets of factual inquiries and surveillance, including Common Law claims, workplace injuries, workplace theft, disciplinary matters, toxic chemical claims, product liability for state, federal and corporate clients. Paul's training commenced with the Northern Territory Police Force as a Senior Detective. After leaving the Police Force, Paul continued in Private Investigations, establishing Quark Technologies Pty Ltd (now Quark & Associates Pty Ltd) in 1986. He is eagerly sought after for his knowledge of the investigation profession and his success as an investigator.
Eric Douglas - Formerly a Detective Senior Sergeant with SAPOL, he has extensive experience investigating serious offences and has held senior management positions responsible for the Holden Hill CIB area. From there he was seconded to the Organised Crime Task Force. Eric has also conducted numerous investigations on behalf of Internal Investigations branch. As a Licensed Inquiry Agent he has investigated many complex compliance, disciplinary, injury and serious fraud matters. Eric's excellent communication skills and his attention to detail ensures he remains a valuable member of our team.
Graham Watson - Former Detective Senior Sergeant of Police attached to the Intelligence Branch. He also took a senior role in the investigation of the Winchester murder in the ACT. As a Licensed Inquiry Agent he has been involved in factual investigations including Common Law, disciplinary matters, fraudulent conversions, theft, bodily injury claims, and motor vehicle accidents on behalf of State and Federal Government Agencies and corporate clients.
Brian Smith - Former Detective Senior Sergeant as OIC of the Fraud Squad and formerly attached to the Traffic Branch. Brian also has certificates in accounting/auditing and transactional analysis and has been involved in two Royal Commissions as a Senior Investigator. As a Licensed Inquiry Agent Brian has been involved extensively in Fraud Investigation, fraudulent conversation, common law and compliance matters on behalf of State & Federal Government Departments and corporate clients.
Paul Garrett - Former Superintendent of Police. As OIC Riverland he was responsible for the overseeing of CIB, Traffic, Prosecution, Crime Scene and General Duties. He was also the OIC of the South East Division. As a Licensed Inquiry Agent Paul has worked exclusively on difficult Factual Investigation for Corporate and Government, particularly in relation to Medical Negligence, Professional Misconduct, inquiries for the Dust Diseases Tribunal and others. Paul has proved to be another valuable member of the team.
Paul Williams - Former Acting Senior Sergeant and Sheriff's Officer. Paul gained extensive experience in investigation whilst attached to the Traffic Division and relieving in country stations. As a Licensed Inquiry Agent since 1982 Paul has extensive experience in all aspects of factual investigations and surveillance.
All senior Investigators play an active role in the day to day mentoring and training of our new recruits and ensure that their collective experiences are passed on.
